SS501 Kim HyunJoong, who has recently moved over to another management company, has gathered attention on whether he will be making a comeback with drama ‘Mischievous Kiss’ (also known as ‘It started with a kiss’, I shall use ‘Mischievous Kiss’ here since this is a more accurate translation from the Korean title), originated from a Japanese manga.

Kim HyunJoong has been chosen as the male lead for ‘Mischievous Kiss’, which would be broadcasted through MBC, he is going into the final stages of discussions. Even though there hasn’t been any confirmation till date, Kim HyunJoong, who has received a lot of attention as a singer turned actor through ‘Boys Over Flowers’, has gained attention on whether he will raise another wave of syndrome through this manga-originated drama once again.

From the initial time when news of drama ‘Mischievous Kiss’ is going to be filmed, Kim HyunJoong was chosen as number 1 person to be casted for the role among the netizens as they think that he is most suited with the original image in the manga. Korean version of ‘Mischievous Kiss’ will be directed by Hwang InRol who has directed ‘Shampoo’s Fairy‘, ‘What Woman Live By’, ‘Goong’, ‘IlJiMae Returns’, etc, and written by Go EunNim who has written ‘Bungee Jumping of Their Own’, ‘Rebirth – NEXT’, ‘Soul’, etc.

‘Mischievous Kiss’ is expected to be broadcasted after MBC Wed-Thu drama ‘Road No. 1’.

김현중, 드라마 '장난스런 키스'로 복귀할까

최근 소속사를 옮긴 SS501의 김현중이 일본 만화 원작 드라마 '장난스런 키스'(극본 고은님·연출 황인뢰)로 복귀할지 관심이 쏠리고 있다.

김현중은 MBC를 통해 방송될 예정인 '장난스런 키스'에서 남자 주인공 발탁을 앞두고 최종 조율에 들어갔다. 현재까지 출연을 확정짓지는 않았지만 '꽃보다 남자'로 가수를 넘어 연기자로까지 큰 주목을 받았던 김현중이 또 다시 만화 원작 드라마를 통해 신드롬을 일으킬지 관심이 집중되고 있다.

김현중은 '장난스런 키스'가 드라마로 제작된다는 소식이 처음 알려졌을 당시부터 네티즌 사이에서 가상 캐스팅 1순위로 거론될 만큼 원작과 이미지가 잘 어울린다는 평가를 받았다. 씨엔블루의 정용화도 후보로 거론됐으나 스케줄 등으로 인해 출연이 어려운 것으로 알려졌다. 한편 '장난스런 키스' 제작사 측은 "아직 확정된 것이 없다"며 말을 아꼈다.

'꽃보다 남자' 신드롬을 일으켰던 그룹에이트가 제작을 맡은 '장난스런 키스'는 일본에서만 발행부수 2700만부를 기록한 히트 만화가 원작. 정원창, 임의신이 주연한 동명의 대만 드라마도 큰 인기를 모았다.

한국판 '장난스런 키스'는 '샴푸의 요정', '여자는 무엇으로 사는가', '궁', '돌아온 일지매' 등을 연출했던 황인뢰 감독과 '번지점프를 하다', '환생-NEXT', '혼' 등을 집필했던 고은님 작가가 의기투합했다.

'장난스런 키스'는 MBC 수목드라마 '로드 넘버원' 후속으로 방송될 예정이다.
